/// First news, summers coming/hope your ready. A lot of good bands have been rollin through toronto lately/its been a great month. The non/linear show in parkdale went smooth/I won third place! Below are some shots of my work published in FUNCTION 13  and also some custom portraits for their interview sections. I feel a relief from completely finishing my BFA degree. Below is the documentation video from my thesis project PLURALS, it is what I have been working on for the last year. I am exhibiting it again at the Maximum Exposure Festival, as a part of the Non/Linear show.

Maximum Exposure Festival: Opening Reception & After Party

Also there is the Function Magazine release party just down the street. Come on out, and make sure to pick up a copy of the magazine, I did some custom illustrations for them, and they are really nice people so lets support them!

Finishing up my BFA degree is a lot of work when it gets down to the wire. The past months has been busy to say the least, but it will all wrap up shortly. Meta was fun, and a overall good weekend, I am glad I was a part of it. Below is a drawing a did as a zine cover for my thesis PLURALS. The zine consists of three pages, one for each drawing, as a way for the series to exist outside of the gallery. The cover is an experimentation with the same themes as the series, but from a completely different perspective aesthetically. Also there is another image below that was an experiment and I discovered some interesting new techniques that will be used for the future.

Finally february is over, and my thesis project is done. Video documentation coming soon!

Below is the last drawing in the series and some close up shots of the multi-layered interactive frames. I got into the final thesis show which is at Airship 37, a gallery in the distillery. Check out META2012 for more info when it gets announced. Come hang out and see what I’ve been working on for almost a year!  - March 29th

Summers coming to an end so make sure you get you soak in your last bit of beach lurks, sun beams, slangin jams, sweaty house partys, kaditch rages, bumpin huge dub and afro beats until the smell of your 420 party overrides the barbecue grillins.

Below are the images that were framed for the past art show. The animation illustrates the visual effects as you walk by the work. All pieces from the last show, have a permanent home for viewing and sale at CC Gallery 627 Queen St. West. For any inquiries about purchasing one of these multi-layered prints, email me HERE

KEEP FACEBLOG ALIVE

May has been an all around good time, full of summer lampin. Gotta love spending government money, I put my tax return towards a vibrolux reverb, that I bought off of a catholic priest, and a seppuku mind warp. I’ve been just basking in the new tone. I saw some awesome shows, Total Life, Godspeed, Young Widows and Merzbow. All of which were awe-inspiring. Other then working on drawings and thinking of a name for my thesis project, Sharks and I have been tightening up Iridescence for a show at the Smiling Buddha at the end of June, and GRAHAMSTOCK. Also Ive been making art prints that shift and fluctuate in your peripherals for an art show around Canada Day. Below are some new ideas, and patterns made out of only circles, triangles, or squares. The other abstract texture doodles came from killing time at work and testing new types of paper to find the best one.
